I wrote this general article to highlight the key findings of our study on goshawks diet. My study found goshawks were helpful to both farmers and foresters as their prey in the spring and summer concentrated on animals regarded as pests to both. Namely, grey squirrels, pigeons, crows, jackdaws and rabbits. Very few prey of high conservation value were found in goshawks breeding season diet.
