With so much political back-lash against net zero and the sustainability agenda across the world in an opinion piece for Architect’s Journal entitled How architects can move the dial on climate action, I make the case for a positive narrative that describes positive outcomes.

I suggest that “we must speak to the many positives of decarbonising buildings for communities, explaining how this will enhance energy security and resiliance, foster economic and fiscal stability, and strengthen our competitive advantage in key clean industry sectors. This collective voice can drown out those that have vested interest in suppressing innovative and progressive polocies, thereby keeping the status quo that is failing us.”

My advisory works looking at guiding businesses helping them make decisions that reduce exposure to the impacts of climate risks, maintain asset value, create wider stakeholder value with supply chains and community.
