In 2005, Paul was asked by the British Council to support the UK government’s presidency of the EU and the G8 and promote the issue of climate change. This article explored how UK businesses were beginning to take climate change seriously and work on a range of opportunities to combat climate change and poverty.Interestingly back in 2005 Paul talks about the carbon bubble, the fact that even if carbon emissions were kept at 2005 levels climate change impacts would continue. Fast forward to 2016 and a world of 400 ppm of carbon dioxide and the situation is even more serious.

Paul provided both technical and more general lectures on climate change and the science of climate change to a variety of audiences, including schools, universities, government and business in Cyprus and South Africa as part the British Council’s work.
